EV charging software company S44 Energy has launched TopazEV, the industry’s first Open-as-a-Service (OaaS) charge station management software (CSMS).
The software provides charge point operators, fleets, retailers, and utilities freedom to launch, operate, and scale their EV networks without vendor lock-in, session fees, or protocol limitations.
TopazEV gives operators complete control of their networks and comes with a real-time dashboard for charger status, network statistics, and session tracking. It supports open protocols like OCPP 1.6, OCPP 2.0.1, OCPI 2.2.1, and ISO 15118, making onboarding legacy hardware seamless.
It’s currently available in two models: Open-as-a-Service (OaaS), a subscription-based option ideal for fast pilots and growing networks; and Business Source License (BSL), a one-time license that provides full ownership of the codebase for independent implementation.
