DC fast-charging solutions manufacturer Kempower has been awarded several new sites through its partnership with PowerUp America, fueling growth in the company’s presence in North America.
The new public EV charging site installations are a testament to Kempower’s continued support of America’s clean transportation transition under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program and other programs.
The sites are located throughout the Southeast: five in Tennessee, two in Virginia, and one under development in Kentucky. As part of NEVI, they require compliance with Build America, Buy America (BABA) provisions.
PowerUp has been a leader in the Southeast’s EV infrastructure growth, providing reliable and safe charging solutions with a commitment to community engagement. Its strategic investments across the region reflect its long-term mission to build resilient, accessible, and future-ready charging infrastructure.
“These wins mark another major step in Kempower’s U.S. growth story,” said Monil Malhotra, President of Kempower North America, in a statement. “The Southeast is one of the most dynamic EV charging markets in the country, and through our collaboration with PowerUp, we’re helping to deliver reliable, American-made fast-charging infrastructure to power North America’s electrification journey forward.”
With Kempower’s U.S. headquarters located in North Carolina, the partnership reinforces both companies’ dedication to supporting local workforce initiatives, advancing domestic manufacturing, and driving sustainable economic impact.
Josh Turner, CEO at PowerUp, added, “Working with Kempower ensures our sites deliver the performance, reliability, and state-of-the-art quality drivers deserve as the EV landscape continues to evolve.”
