Alex Shoer is a seasoned entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to fighting climate change and accelerating the transition to clean energy. He is the managing partner of GridVest Energy, a battery storage distribution, procurement and financing company focused on the C&I and Utility Scale segments. Alex previously lived for Shanghai, China for nine years and co-founded Seeder Clean Energy, a leading renewable energy services company that helps large corporations reduce their carbon footprint and power their operations with renewable energy.
Alex is a venture partner at Elevation Ventures, where he sources and invests in climate tech startups and he’s also a startup coach for climate companies with the Small Business Administration and Octane OC’s Launchpad program, where he leverages his expertise and network to help early-stage founders refine their business models, raise funds, and scale their impact.
Alex has been recognized by President Obama as a Global Impact Entrepreneur, by the Chengdu government as Expat Founder of the Year, and by multiple publications and awards for his work in the renewable energy sector and entrepreneurship.
