Sterling Clifford serves as Jinko’s Director of State Policy. He is responsible for all of Jinko’s legislative and regulatory advocacy as well as providing policy analysis and intelligence to internal partners. Sterling is a former board member of the Florida Solar Energy Industry Association and continues to chair the policy committee. He manages Jinko’s trade associations and contract lobbyists in key markets as well. Sterling came to Jinko after four years as Director of Government Affairs at Sunnova Energy, a national provider of residential solar and storage systems. Prior to working in the energy sector, Sterling spent 17 years as a communications and media consultant for candidates and issue campaigns across the country, including leading communications for governors in California and Washington and the mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. Sterling studied communications at the University of Utah, and currently lives Houston, Texas.
