Dr. Karim Farhat is a nationally distinguished e-mobility business leader and under-forty innovator in utility and energy sectors, with 18 years of expertise in transportation decarbonization, smart EV charging, and distributed energy resources. Currently, Karim leads revenue generation and partnerships for retail EV charging at Walmart, with strong ambitions to expand reliable and affordable public EV charging to thousands of US locations for the world’s largest retailer. Karim is also the Founder and Principal Consultant at KFACTS, a boutique consulting firm.
Over the years, Karim held several leadership and managerial roles in the EV charging space, including as Chief Commercial Officer at EVCS, Global Director of EV Charging and Smart Energy at Lucid, and Founding Director of E-Mobility Solutions at ENGIE Impact. In these roles, he led EV charging product development, customer solutions, network operations, strategic partnerships, business intelligence, marketing, and policy. His career also includes various roles advancing clean energy innovations at PG&E, BCG, Shell, and Stanford University.
Karim earned a PhD in Management Science and Engineering and an MS in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
