Eric Peterman is a renewable energy leader with over a decade of experience driving the growth of the solar industry. As the co-founder and former CEO of GRNE Solar, Eric led the company from its inception in 2012 to its successful acquisition by Nelnet Renewable Energy in 2022. Now serving as President of Mars Energy Group, he is instrumental in advancing the company’s mission to become a national leader in commercial solar and energy storage.
Eric holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University, where he was a three-year football captain before going on to play for the Chicago Bears. His career reflects a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and expanding renewable energy access across Illinois and beyond.
