SMA and Create Energy Partner to Localize Manufacturing in U.S.

SMA Solar Technology AG has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Create Energy to strengthen localized manufacturing of next-generation inverter and skid products for the U.S. market. 

SMA and Create Energy, through their partnership, seek to localize supply chains, reduce lead times, and enhance service and support. 

The two companies will work together to domestically manufacture the Sunny Highpower PEAK3 and fully integrated PowerSkid solution at Create Energy’s flagship facility in Portland, Tennessee, beginning in Q1 2026. 

The MOU marks an important milestone as the first inverter SMA Solar Technology AG has manufactured in the United States in over a decade.  

It also includes plans for joint sales and business development activities, reflecting both companies’ commitment to delivering clean energy products that support long-term economic growth and energy independence.
