Geronimo Power (Geronimo) has pledged to contribute $1.3 million to host communities within its Blevins Solar Project in Falls County, Texas.Ā
The 270-megawatt (MW) project, currently under construction, is scheduled toĀ commenceĀ operations later this year.Ā Ā
Texasā largest community foundation,Ā CommunitiesĀ Foundation ofĀ Texas,Ā will manage and distribute the donations.Ā
Blevins entered into Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Fujifilm and Bristol Myers Squibb. The project is expected to provide significant economic value to the local community, including over $90 million in direct impact over its useful life of 20 years.Ā $52 million of that amount will beĀ allocatedĀ to Falls County, the local school district, and emergency districts.Ā
