Mohammed Njie is the Founder and CEO of Janta Power, a clean energy technology company pioneering the world’s first patented 3D solar towers. Originally from Gambia, where he experienced energy poverty firsthand, Mohammed developed a passion for building accessible energy solutions. While studying at Southern Methodist University (SMU), he partnered with the university to deliver solar systems to off-grid schools in Gambia, an experience that exposed the limitations of traditional solar and inspired Janta Power’s vertical solar innovation.
Mohammed has led Janta from prototype development to grid-connected pilots and early commercialization. Under his leadership, the company has secured major international projects across airports, telecoms, and industrial sectors. Mohammed’s vision is to make clean, affordable, and space-efficient renewable energy accessible everywhere.
