Seattle-based EV charging solutions provider Electric Era has set a new industry standard with an unprecedented 54-day start-to-finish installation of six EV charging stalls at a Costco Wholesale warehouse in Florida.
The project was contracted on April 7, 2025, construction and testing were completed 10 days after, and the site went live on May 30, 2025, just one day after the final inspection approval.
Electric Era’s patented battery-backed architecture substantially reduces peak grid input power requirements, thereby drastically simplifying most installations. The company manages system engineering, supply chain procurement, and manufactures in-house to further cut installation time.
The quick turnaround and site plan development and installation time helps businesses leverage federal and state grant programs by removing the need for utility upgrades.
The new North Port Costco chargers are comprised of three charger units, each with one CCS and NACS cable, and can reach up to 80% state of charge between 20 and 60 minutes, on average.
“Our retail customers don’t want their lots torn up for years, they want fast, reliable EV charging systems to help them grow their business and boost their bottom line,” said Electric Era CEO Quincy Lee, in a statement. “Because we manage the process from start to finish in-house, we’re able deliver a significantly more efficient process across the board and complete deployments at a fraction of the time it takes other EV charger manufacturers.”
