EVerged, an energy technology company based in North America, announced it has entered a strategic partnership with EV charging management platform provider AMPECO to rapidly scale EV charging infrastructure; the partners will target over 5,000 public and private charging points over the next two years.
The two companies are aiming to address the critical industry challenge of charging reliability with the buildout of new charging points. In doing so, EVerged will leverage AMPECO’s charging management platform to deliver consistent uptime and enhanced driver experiences while maintaining rapid deployment schedules for AC and DC charging solutions.
They began collaborating when EVerged managed San Diego’s public charging network; in the approved agreement, the San Diego City Council planned to add hundreds of new public charging stations over the span of five years. The initial deployment demonstrated AMPECO’s capabilities and has served as the foundation for EVerged’s national expansion strategy.
The partnership is a testament to how the powerful combination of advanced EV charging software and innovative deployment strategies can solve reliability problems while accelerating sustainable transportation adoption.
“This partnership marks a turning point in how we approach EV charging at scale,” said Jefferson W. Smith, CEO of EVerged, in a statement. “By integrating AMPECO’s powerful platform, we’re eliminating the reliability issues that have plagued the industry and building a foundation for EV infrastructure that is resilient, scalable, and driver-first. It’s a leap forward not just for EVerged, but for the future of clean transportation across North America.”
