NeoVoltaĀ Inc. announced the formation ofĀ NeoVoltaĀ Power, LLC, a joint venture toĀ establishĀ a U.S. battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing platform in Pendergrass, Georgia.Ā
The initiative is intended to serve utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage markets while expanding the companyās domestic manufacturing footprint.Ā
The joint venture brings together three energy technology leaders:Ā NeoVolta,Ā PotisEdge, andĀ LONGiĀ Green Energy.Ā
PotisEdge, a globally recognized BESS manufacturer now part of LONGi, holds a 20% stake in the joint venture and contributes expertise in large-scale battery manufacturing, including equipment installation, commissioning, and production ramp support. LONGi, a global leader in solar manufacturing and majority owner ofĀ PotisEdge, brings scale, execution discipline, and strategic alignment across solar and storage markets.Ā
The Georgia facility is designed forĀ an initialĀ 2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of annual production capacity, scalable to 8 GWh, with mass production expected to begin in mid-2026. It will focus on prismatic-cell battery pack assembly and DC container integration, supportingĀ roughly 89Ā production personnel atĀ steady-stateĀ initialĀ capacity.Ā
NeoVolta said the platform materially expands its addressable market and growth potential in the U.S. energy storage sector. Industry analyses indicate that utility-scale and C&I battery systems can generate roughly $200 per kilowatt-hour of installed capacity; broader forecasts project that the U.S. battery storage market, covering utility-scale, residential, and C&I applications, could reach approximately $45 billion annually by 2030.Ā
“This transformative joint venture withĀ PotisEdgeĀ andĀ LONGiĀ represents a major step forward forĀ NeoVolta, positioning us as a vertically integrated leader in the fast-growing energy storage sector,ā said Ardes Johnson, Chief Executive Officer ofĀ NeoVolta, in aĀ statement. āBy launching domestic BESS manufacturing,Ā we’reĀ directly addressing surging demand in utility-scale and C&I markets, enabling scalable, reliable solutions for grid stability, peak load management, and high-growth applications.”Ā
