Planted Solar has raised $12 million in a funding round led by Piva Capital, with continued backing from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Kholsa Ventures, and Team Builder Ventures.
The company made a name for itself as a solar deployment platform helping project developers build more efficiently. The investment comes at a critical time, as the U.S. solar industry faces a multitude of demand and deployment challenges.
Founded in 2020, Planted Solar’s goal is to replace the traditional solar deployment model that has historically been slow, costly, and fragmented. The company’s fully integrated platform was designed to streamline each step of project fulfillment.

With the new financing, Planted Solar plans to accelerate the development of its digital and hardware solutions, expand deployment capacity, and develop global strategic partnerships. The company is presently executing domestic projects, including community solar installations and behind-the-meter systems.
