IONNA, the EV charging network founded by eight major automakers, has hit a new milestone.
Now with 180 live charging sites nationwide, it has more than doubled its footprint since the start of 2026. The company also took the top spot among DC fast charging networks in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Public Charging Study, its first year of eligibility.
Much of the growth has come through IONNA’s partnership with Circle K, announced earlier this year, which has put 40 Circle K locations online across one of the largest convenience retail networks in the country.
βThe industry has treated charging scale and charging quality as a tradeoff. Our growth and first-place customer satisfaction ranking show that drivers can and should expect both,β said Seth Cutler, CEO of IONNA, in a statement. βThe IONNA team is focused on delivering quality at scale to enable the sale and adoption of EVs in North America.β
IONNA has also chosen not to build a proprietary app, focusing instead on integrations with platforms drivers already use. New connections with Toyota and Lexus apps, Presto, ChargeHub, and EV Connect bring the number of supported partner apps to 19. Plug & Charge capability for certain Toyota and Lexus models is expected soon.
Thibaut de Barros Conti, vice president, Business Development, Toyota Motor North America, added, βCongratulations to IONNA on their latest achievements. IONNAβs agility and customer-centricity align with Toyotaβs goals of creating truly world-class experiences and enabling mobility for all.β
