Utility-scale solar and storage development in Texas has never been more active or more operationally complex. Interconnection queues, tariff-driven procurement headaches, transmission constraints, and contractor availability are all stress-testing project timelines in ways the boom years didn’t prepare the industry for. This session draws on hard-won field experience to examine what utility-scale execution actually looks like today: where projects stall, how developers and utilities are working through it, and what the financing and policy environment needs to look like for Texas to keep building at the scale the grid demands.
