Alex is a licensed attorney whose work has focused around advocating for a swift and equitable transition to a decarbonized electricity sector. He specializes in topics related to electric transmission planning, interconnection, and wholesale energy markets by conducting legal, regulatory, and policy analysis and advocacy via testimony, reports, and written comments. In his current role, Alex is the Policy Director for Advanced Energy United’s policy engagement with the New England grid operator, ISO-New England. He has ten years of combined academic and professional experience across several degrees and over ten energy-oriented organizations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
