Anthony Janowski is the Director of Business Development for the Mid-America
Carpenters Regional Council, which represents over 53,000 working men and women
throughout Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Eastern Iowa.
As Director of Business Development, Anthony oversees the Regional Council’s clean
energy partnerships and leads a wide range of workforce and development initiatives
throughout the Midwest. Anthony is active in every phase of clean energy development,
working closely with developers and owners to make sure their workforce needs are
met with highly trained, skilled and efficient union carpenters and millwrights. Under
Anthony’s leadership, carpenter contractors’ participation in the clean energy market –
including utility scale solar, wind, nuclear maintenance and hydroelectric construction –
has grown exponentially.
Anthony, a U.S. Green Building Council accredited LEED AP BD+C professional, is an
executive board member of Climate Jobs Illinois, where he helps shape clean energy
legislation that reverses climate change while creating career pathways for those in
underserved communities to join the building trades.
Anthony is a proud, 37-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and
currently serves as President of Carpenters Local 272.
