Lewis Butler is a Senior Account Executive with TotalEnergies, where he leads the full life-cycle development of distributed solar + storage projects—from site origination and savings modeling to contract negotiation and financing. A frequent contributor to state-level renewable-energy policy in the Midwest, Lewis serves as Board President of the Illinois Solar & Storage Association (ISEA) and the Iowa Solar Energy Trade Association (ISETA), and sits on the advisory board of the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA).
Lewis holds a B.S. in Economics (Mathematics minor) from Hillsdale College and an M.A. in Economics from George Mason University. His inventive project designs have been nationally recognized; in 2020, he won Solar Builder Magazine’s Commercial & Industrial Project of the Year for a dog-bone-shaped rooftop array developed for a pet-treat manufacturer.
