At Modo Energy I write about the Texan and Californian power markets (ERCOT and CAISO, respectively) — specifically how the dynamics in each of those grids impacts the investment decisions for grid-scale battery and solar owners and developers.
Before starting at Modo Energy I was pursuing an Economics PhD at Columbia University. My research focused on how interest rates interacted with outcomes of “granular” industries — i.e. sectors wherein a single firm has significant power — a prime example being the wholesale power markets in the US.
