For more than twenty years, Maura has worked to open electricity and renewables markets. Her career spans distributed energy resources, energy markets, government affairs, and more, gaining insights from both utility and developer sides of deals.
Before starting Mothership with her business partner Calin Brammer in 2021, Maura launched innovative solutions at SunEdison, Standard Renewable Energy, and Arizona Public Service. She also served as VP of Sustainability at MP2 Energy, which Shell acquired in 2017.
Today, Mothership is the 18th largest retail electricity provider in the nation, with a portfolio focused on large loads, primarily data centers, in Texas. In addition to being a retail supplier, Mothership provides ERCOT market services to electric cooperatives, generators, and option 2 retailers. These services include risk management, settlements, data center contracting billing and operations, as well as accounting and data management.
In 2026 Mothership launched Eclipse™, an online electricity management platform offering full transparency into the ERCOT market. Users have access to Mothership’s proprietary forward curves, settlement systems, pricing engines, and more.
