Michael leads McKinstry’s East Coast Distributed Energy Resources team, designing and constructing solar, energy storage and EV projects across the eastern US. McKinstry’s portfolio includes front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter projects ranging in size from 1-20+MW, for a variety of IPP, developer, utility and C&I customers.
As the team leader, Michael is responsible setting the team’s strategy, growing the organization and its pipeline, and delivering on best-in-class safety, operational excellence, and profitable, sustainable growth.
He brings over 17 years’ experience in the energy space with a variety of engineering, project management, strategy and sales/business development roles at Arup, PG&E, and most recently NextEra where he ran the DG Origination team.
