Robert (Bob) Hattier is the Director of Renewable Energy for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 134 representing over 12,000 members in Cook County. He also serves as the Executive Director for the Illinois IBEW Renewable Energy Fund, a State of Illinois grant funded workforce development organization facilitaing the Craft Apprenticeship Program authorized under the Future Energy Jobs Act.
Bob has over 25 years of experience in the solar and adjacent technology industries. Since 2008, Bob has been training electrical apprentices, journey-level electrical workers, and electrical contractors, on solar, battery energy storage, and electric vehicle charging systems throughout the Midwest.
Bob holds several industry specific certifications and licenses. His dedication to advancing the renewable energy industry is evidenced by his involvement with several organizations as a Board Member, his Codes and Standards development committee appointments, his creation of industry specific curriculum, and his allied professional training initiatives.
