Carolina Núñez is the Head of Legal & Compliance for BayWa r.e. Americas, where she leads the legal and compliance functions and provides strategic counsel across all business lines and projects—from early-stage development through completion. She oversees complex negotiations and transactions throughout the project lifecycle, including corporate and project financing, tax equity and preferred equity investments, M&A, and key project agreements such as real estate, EPC, O&M, and interconnection. Carolina also ensures compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, including FERC and NERC standards.
Her career began in Spain at Garrigues, focusing on project finance, before serving as General Counsel at Grupo Azivi, a multinational infrastructure company managing large-scale projects across Europe, the Middle East, and LATAM. She later moved to the United States to pursue advanced legal studies.
Carolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Administration, and Management from Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain) and a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School. She is a member of the New York State Bar, registered as in-house counsel in California, and qualified to practice in Spain.
