EVgo Expands Fast Charging Network with Tesla V4 Supercharger Deployment

EVgo, one of the nation’s largest public fast charging providers, has announced plans to add Tesla V4 Superchargers to its metropolitan EV charging network, with deployments beginning this fall and the first sites expected to be operational in the second half of 2026.

The V4 Superchargers, branded as “EVgo Superchargers,” are capable of delivering up to 500 kilowatts (kW) and 1,000 volts, adding up to 200 miles of range in 15 minutes.

The units will be equipped with Tesla’s Magic Dock technology, enabling both CCS and NACS vehicles to charge natively without an adapter. EVgo Supercharger locations will appear on Tesla’s in-car navigation and be accessible through the Tesla Trip Planner.

“EVgo is making it easier for EV drivers to find convenient fast charging, and we’re bringing more infrastructure options to communities across America to serve the growing demand for public charging,” said Badar Khan, EVgo CEO., in a statement. “With this deployment, we look forward to welcoming more Tesla and NACS drivers to the EVgo network.”

The expansion comes as consumer demand on the EVgo network has grown more than 700% over the past three years.

With more than 35 NACS-equipped vehicle models anticipated by the end of 2026 and more than 3 million Tesla vehicles already sold in the U.S., the deployment is designed to expand EVgo’s reach among NACS drivers.

In addition to the Supercharger rollout, EVgo is also developing a next-generation charging architecture at its Innovation Lab in El Segundo, California, with the first units expected to be installed by year’s end.

EVgo currently operates more than 1,200 fast charging stations across 47 states.
