XCharge has unveiled the new generation of its C7 direct current (DC) fast charging station at the Power2Drive Europe trade show in Munich, delivering up to 480 kilowatts (kW) of charging power for public charging stations, commercial fleet locations, and retail parking environments.
According to ChargedEVs.com, the updated C7 features a revised platform architecture, improved thermal management, scalable power modules, and a barrier-free dual-outlet design with integrated cable management.
Adaptive thermal management dynamically adjusts fan speed based on module temperature, ambient conditions, and power load to maintain thermal stability and support consistent long-term performance.
“With the new generation of the C7, we are consistently advancing an established fast charging solution,” said Albina Iljasov, Co-CEO at XCharge.
The station supports OCPP 2.0.1, ISO 15118 Plug and Charge, and VDV 261, and is designed for seamless integration with vehicles, backend platforms, and mobility operators. All XCharge charging solutions incorporate cybersecurity features including TLS 1.3 protection and secure over-the-air updates.
Iljasov continued, “In Europe, we see strong demand for high-performance DC charging infrastructure that can be operated efficiently, easily integrated and used in a user-friendly manner. The C7’s higher charging power and enhanced features are designed to meet these needs.”
