Michelle Carpenter

Michelle Carpenter is a seasoned renewable energy professional with over 18 years of experience in project development. She leads TurningPoint Energy’s development team nationally and has overseen more than 300MW of solar projects in her career. Her expertise focuses on community engagement, permitting, technical due diligence, and regulatory strategy. Michelle has played a key role in shaping clean energy policy, including interconnection tariff reforms in Maine, expanding clean energy initiatives in Rhode Island, and serving in leadership roles within the clean energy industry. Her background spans executive leadership, utility negotiations, and environmental advocacy, underpinned by a B.S. in Environmental & Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island.
