Pagan Poggione leverages 28 years in clean energy and passion for education, community engagement, and workforce development as IREC’s Vice President of Workforce Strategy and Innovation. Pagan led the implementation of IREC’s Green Workforce Connect initiative, a pioneering effort to bridge the gap between students, job seekers, contractors, local agencies, and training providers in the Weatherization Assistance Program. She is now supporting expansion to include new states, technology areas, and audiences in order to foster deeper collaborations and support the growth of the clean energy and energy efficiency workforce.
Beyond her industry knowledge, Pagan is a champion of human-centered design and incorporates this approach into program design, implementation, and management, ensuring IREC’s initiatives effectively address the needs of local communities. Her ability to translate this approach into practical application sets her apart, fostering innovative and place-based solutions for workforce development in an ever-evolving landscape.
Pagan holds a master’s degree in educational technology from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Victoria.
