I am VP of Engineering at UL Solutions, a global safety science company, with oversight of solar, wind, energy storage, grid connectivity, microgrids, transport electrification and a wide range of other technologies in the energy, industrial automation, built environment, engineered materials, cybersecurity and code and regulatory compliance sectors. I have over 40 years of experince on safety, security, regulatory compliance, supply chain management, and related topics for the U.S. and globally. I am the Chairman of NFPA’s National Electrical Code Panel 13, which addresses energy storage and related systems, and the immediate past Chair of NEC CMP-1. I am also the Chair of SEIA’s Codes and Standards Working Group. I serve on the Executive Council of Northwestern University’s Trienens Institute for Energy & Sustainability, the Industry Advisory Board for the DuraMAT Consortium for solar materials run by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and the Board of the Securing Solar for the Grid (S2G) Consortium administered by the U.S. Department of Energy.
