Ashok Nair is the Senior Vice President and Head of Sales for Waaree Solar Americas, the US subsidiary of the Waaree Group and a major solar module manufacturer in Brookshire, Texas. A veteran of the renewable energy sector with 16 years of global experience, Ashok has been instrumental in facilitating Waaree’s transition into a premier American manufacturer by strategically aligning market demand with large-scale production capabilities.
He is currently leading the commercial strategy to support Waaree’s landmark U.S. manufacturing footprint, which includes a 5 GW module factory currently in operation—with plans to scale to 7 GW in 2026—alongside a 2 GW cell plant currently in development.
Beyond high-efficiency PV modules, Ashok is driving the expansion of Waaree’s Energy Transition Business in the U.S., overseeing the growth of integrated solutions including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), utility-scale transformers, and inverters.
